You know, the other day, while remembering a very enjoyable trip to Germany and Austria 5 years ago now, I was trying to remember the name of a small Alpine town that I did NOT get to visit while there that my sister told me she would take me to next time I came over to visit. All I could remember was that it began with an "M". So I typed into the search engine the only thing I could think of, that being the word "Mittlealter", thinking that it was close enough to where the search engine might actually find the town. I rather forgot that the word "Mittlealter" means "Middle Ages" in German. Well, this yielded some very interesting web sites, some, unfortunately, "auf Deutsch", and my German leaves a lot to be desired, but still, I was able to find a number of interesting sites, so try typing that into Google.com and see what happens. And have fun with the hours and hours you'll spend going through the numerous sites you can visit! I ended up finally remembering that what I was looking for originally was the town of "Mittenwald" in the Alpenstraße in south Germany. But the accidental diversion into the "Mittlealter" was a very pleasant one! And a VERY time consuming one, too..........................!!! Glad it was a slow day at work that day!! ~Saradwen Midrealm =================================================================== To unsubscribe from this list, send email to with a blank Subject: line and unsubscribe scribes in the body of the message. I will have them with me at Unevent and 12th Night. http://scribe.atlantia.sca.org/backlog/Undelivered.htm Some are ready to deliver, some still need signatures and some need heraldic corrections or recipient consultation. If your scroll is listed here please contact me: signet@atlantia.sca.org to give me your contact info and/or arrange for delivery. I’ve put stars around the recipients that I personally don’t know how to contact. Yes, I’ve probably marked some people that everyone knows but me - please don’t be offended :). If you can help me find any of these gentles please contact me. I’ll try to keep this list up to date on-line. Thank you!
