Both the Chandler's Guild and the Tallow Candlemakers Guild charters were online at that point. If I remember correctly, the Chandlers' Guild charter was from the 1400's. I don't have their addresses handy, but try searching for Chandlers' and Tallow and see what you get. I was using Metacrawler for my searches. And then only if it is of a game animal. I grew up in south texas, ranching community. We lived, as all Texans and Ranchers across the nation live, with anthrax in our every day lives. We never got sick, we did not die. My point is that what they are finding is a manufactured product, refined from nature yes but deliberatly made. If anything we already have a small immunity or resistance to it just due to our proximity to it in our upbringing if ranching was a part of your life. There is a news man that came on the radio that mentioned that there was a case of a biker that contracted the desease from a leather vest he/she purchased. I do not put much into the story only because they do not state the type of leather, if the biker made it him/herself or any other points of facts. Bottom line, please use your better judgement. Do not be so quick to believe a small bit of info. Look deeper, dig for the truth. Over all thank you for your message on the list, it will help a great deal just for a personal piece of mind. :) Order your parchment from a known dealer that cures it carefully and documents their work for you. - -- Sincerely, Chiara Francesca chiara@io.com =================================================================== To unsubscribe from this list, send email to with a blank Subject: line and unsubscribe scribes in the body of the message.
