Is it true that one can only use non waterproof ink in such pens? Jus don't want to ruin it before really getting started with calligraphy studies. To the best of my knowledge, yes, you can only use non waterproof ink in Osmiroid bladder pump pens. The permanent inks just gunk them up too much. The disadvantage to using the water based inks when calligraphing is just that, they smear a lot easier as a result, but if you are just starting out and learning, they are wonderful tools for getting the hang of letter forms. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress! All your paint, gilding size, etc will stick just fine. (You will probably find that the dyeing process removed all surface grease, anyway.) - --Yseult de Lacy, OL (Chris Robertson) Barony of Rowany, Lochac =================================================================== To unsubscribe from this list, send email to with a blank Subject: line and unsubscribe scribes in the body of the message.
