(was: Libraries-what do you have) Ahh, if what is meant by 'visual memory': the ability to RECOGNISE - recall associations like dates, place, maybe book source if you happen to have studied the book, when you have a visual item in front of your eyes. That's an altogether different mental exercise than being able to CREATE purely from memory, which is what I thought the initial posts were refering to. Most people, with some coaching and/or knowledge about what they are seeing, can learn to recognise. Many people have difficulty and may be unable to learn to visualise something clearly enough to render even general aspects of it accurately purely from memory. To test yourself on the latter -- look at a font that you don't normally use for a few minutes. Look at each letter. Then, without looking at even another font, try to draw the font in detail. Now check back. Did you get all the seriphs right? Proportions of smalls and talls? Shapes and sizes of the loops? Angles? If you get anywhere close - congratulations! You have proven your ability to not only (learn) to draw, but to draw from memory - a rare talent! Greetings from Eldred! Although not exactly on-line, Dover publications sells at least three celtic clip-art books that also have CDs with electronic versions of those clip art images. My Lady has been using them for producing our Barony's newsletter....
