[scribes]: Known World Heraldic Symposium ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Wed, 25 Oct 2000 17:33:12 -0500 From: Garret Bitker Subject: [scribes]: Known World Heraldic Symposium Pleadings from Gevehard, I submit the following information to you again because as of this moment I have only TWO gentles that have offered to teach (Yes, their good but 6 classes each would tire them out a bit) So I need help! Now is your chance to teach a class on the scribal arts at a Knowne World level. Thank you in advance for your consideration of this matter. Gevehard Greetings unto all learned gentles, It is my honor to facilitate the arrangement of the Scribal track of classes for the upcoming (June 1-3, 2001) Known World Heraldic Symposium in the Barony of Nordskogen (Mpls/StPaul metro area). There are 12 class sessions to fill and I would like to offer them at three different difficulty levels: Beginner(student has little or no experience) Intermediate (student has done at least a couple of scrolls) Advanced (usually you know when you are here) Ideally I would like to see 4 classes at each difficulty level and 2 in calligraphy/ paleography and 2 in illumination/ technique, but I'm open to suggestions. One limitation is that we may not offer hands on classes due to site concerns, sorry. Still interested? Contact me with a brief description of what you would like to teach. Not able to teach but want to contribute? Articles to be published in the proceedings are also welcome, again contact me with a brief description. Timelines: Teachers need to be selected by January 1. Briefs of their classes are due by February 1. All articles to be published in the proceedings due by April 1. Please realize these deadlines must be strictly adhered to if we are to have this information published on time, being late may very well mean you get bumped, sorry. I may be contacted in any of the following means for questions or volunteers, thank you for your time, Herr Gevehard von Baden gevehard@rconnect.com Garret Bitker pobox 306 Walnut Grove, MN 56180 (507)859-2885 you may leave a message and I will call you back =================================================================== To unsubscribe from this list, send email to with a blank Subject: line and unsubscribe scribes in the body of the message.
