I am working on putting together a pamphlet of local resources for northwestern US (and mainly Oregon, since that's where I live, but a few from WA and CA as well). I have been contacting university libraries and asking whether they have any illuminated manuscripts or early printed books available for public use. So far I have received positive responses from: Western Oregon U U of O OSU Linfield College Reed College Willamette U (my school) I also know there are viewable manuscripts at Mt. Angel Abbey, and the Getty (that's a little far though). Do any of you know of other local resources for manuscripts in the NW? I am hoping to print up a pamphlet containing brief descriptions of what manuscripts are where, to be passed out at my Carson grant presentation. If any of you are interested in such a thing (and if I actually have time to get it finished before I need it, at the end of November), or if you can bring any other resources to my attention, please let me know.
