Me, too. I had trouble finding the hot press by the pad, so I used cold press for a while (I really like working on the pad, so it was worth putting up with the rougher surface). Then I found out that Amsterdam Art in Berkeley carried the hot press pads. Drive an hour to buy paper? Sure! (OK, so it helped that I made a major wording mistake on the Laurel scroll I was working on, had to start over, and didn't have any more hot press. :-) Does anybody know a mailorder source for the pads? Paper & Ink has Arches, but only by the sheet. - -- /=================================================================\ |John Francis Stracke | http://www.thibault.org |S/MIME & HTML OK| |francis@thibault.org |===========================================| |Crosston, Mists, West| Any time somebody has a conditioned | |My LAN, my opinions. | response, they *always* think of Pavlov! | \=================================================================/ ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 18 Jul 1998 08:25:57 -0700 From: John Stracke Subject: Re: [scribes]: Tools of the trade (Bag Eraser) I.C. What I wound up doing was to take a CD jewel box and pop out the papers and the piece that holds the CD in place. It's not an ideal solution, because now there's a gap at one end (where that piece would otherwise be), so the book could theoretically slip out--but it's probably good enough, and it was easy. :-) /=================================================================\ |John Francis Stracke | http://www.thibault.org |S/MIME & HTML OK| |francis@thibault.org |===========================================| |Crosston, Mists, West| Any time somebody has a conditioned | |My LAN, my opinions. | response, they *always* think of Pavlov! | \=================================================================/ ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 18 Jul 1998 17:32:08 EDT From: FITCHYBEAR@aol.com Subject: Re: [scribes]: Arches Sale!
