In the Kingdom of An Tir the Laurels run similiar "tourneys" - I wonder if perhaps they instead called them "Laurel prize exhibitions" or something similar to that that people might not think of them in terms of the fighting tourneys where there is one "winner" and be more likely to put something in to be looked at (there is also the other frequent misconception that it's the Laurel's that are the ones displaying their talents).
