(I should be doing it more frequently!) Your suggestion to use another drive for the backup copy is excellent. Let me add that if you have either a ZIP drive or a CD-Recordable this whole process becomes much simpler and cheaper. I recommend the latter. Blank CDs are incredibly inexpensive these days. Just to make this an on-topic post....let me mention that a lot of us have pictures of Scribal work stored as email attachments. Nobody wants to lose source material to a computer glitch! - -Peter- - --- Mike Adams wrote: > > Sorry not said much of late LOST all my email since Jan 1 00. > > Found that Netscape Messenger has some decided flaws, or maybe how I > use > it. Backing up to a CD, wish I had one, but do have a ZIP drive.. I also have it set up so that my bookmark is saved to another place so that everytime I boot up it is saved to another place, lost my bookmark atleast twice due to Netscape crashing at odd times.. I have a 200K bookmark file. But I expect anything important needs to be backuped, even things on a webpage.. A friend of mine lost all her poems/page to a hacker.
