I usually work it this way anyway, but now that I know of the danger, will always follow this advice. Your comment is very much appreciated. The discussion about drives seems to me to be very much on topic since we are using the computers to communicate here on the net, as well as share views of our works. It is part of our archiving and it is part of our way of doing research. As long as we are on the subject of drives, may I suggest that an even better way to store your images is to invest in a CD burner. The disks can't crash. Also, if you are on a MAC and your Zip drive comes up as unreadable by your computer DON'T WIPE IT BY REINITIALIZING THE DISK! A program like Norton Utilities Disk Doctor will probably recover the whole thing.
