But good quotes are more fun and more natural. (The word I *least* like to letter is "responsibilities" :( I have to count the "i"s carefully and spell it out loud or I'll never end it.) I feel that it goes pretty fast that way, and the ruler is wide enough to stretch all the way across the paper. I like see-through rulers for some stuff (especially knotwork), but the ones I have are just plastic, and tend to slip if I'm not careful. Are yours nonslippery somehow? For most stuff I use a metal ruler with a cork backing. Francois Thibault Crosston, Mists, West I use those little felt (stick-on) circles on my rulers. I have used them with my quilting and such. I found that they work well on paper, too. They still slide somewhat but better than just the plastic against the paper.
