I don't recall where I got it, but it would have been like 93 (+/- a year). I was more into early stuff at the time too. Anyway, my search for a replacement copy is currently stalled. It's no longer in print, and the best price I've found is $35, which is more than I or my lady wife want to spend until I find my next gig. Thanks again for the title and info. Greetings to all of you looking for facsimile manuscript pages at reasonable cost! I was scouring the bargain books tables at my local Borders Bookstore, and found several things that might be of interest to those on this list: - -for cheap color reproductions of medival manuscripts: the Metropolitan Museum of Art "Saints, A Book of Days" featuring details from many of the manuscripts and other medieval works in their collection at the wonderful price of $3.99...small format, but nice quality reproductions, especially considering the price! - -purely for scribely amusement...."Medieval Cats", by Susan Herbert....taking many of the best known illuminations of our period and rendering them with her distinctive cats as the main "characters"..., complete with the reference to the original manuscript on which each piece is based...for the right price for a whimsical luxury...$4.98 - -role of women both in medival time and in ours: "Women in Medival History and Historiography"...for $5.99, looked like it was a good buy if just for the bibliographies at the end of each chapter... - -for researching persona/names, and because we enjoy reading weird stuff: "The Domesday Book: England's Heritage, Then and Now" -- a modern listing of the holdings of the original 1086 Domesday Book with added essays, pictures, explanatory text; large format, for the outrageous price of ....$4.99! - --for general history, and several large reproduction pages of 14th-15th century manuscript pages: "The Chronicles of the The Wars of the Roses" -- not sure how good the "history" part will be, but for $4.99, the reproductions and listings of the manuscripts at the back seems worth it! Don't know if these are available everywhere (I was shopping at the North Hills Borders in Pittsburgh, PA), but they seemed worth sharing!!! Enjoy!
