Please forward to any and all lists that heralds and scribes of the SCA will
see.

Greetings unto the College of Arms and the scribal community of the Known
World from Constance Wyatt, Town Crier Pursuivant for the Kingdom of An Tir.

Please read closely as some info has changed.

While the autocrat team is working hard on the next Known World Heraldic and
Scribal Symposium, I am here to ask for your help. It is my job to compile
the proceedings for this next symposium and I know that there is some
wonderful information out there in the College and the scribal community
that would be great for the proceedings. I have gotten some great articles
coming, but I bet there are more or you need some more information.

If you have something you would like to submit, please email it to me at
constancewyatt AT gmail DOT com. Please make sure that in your subject line
you have "2010 proceedings" so that I don't miss it. Please have your item
proof read as much as possible. We would also love to have teachers hand
out, but it is not a requirement. It would be great for those not able to
make the trip.

My plan is to have two formats of each item. One will be formatted to fit
into a printed complied proceedings. We are also planning on providing all
items individually on a CD. If you have a finalized, formatted version, that
version will be included on the CD as a PDF file. We will be testing to make
sure that almost any computer with the free Acrobat Reader can read each
item and the CD.

Please send items in either .doc, .pages, or rich text in your preferred
finalized layout. Please do not send text files as PDFs as it can be tricky
to pull the text off of it, especially if the item was scanned. If you have
any images, please label them so that they will be labeled correctly in the
printed complied format. If you have a collection of images, please either
group them into a single zip file, or medium resolution on a single
doc/pages file or PDF. Deadline for receiving items is April 15, also known
as Tax day in the US.

Also, I would like to add some personality to the complied proceedings.
Please include with your item in the body of the email (not just the
article), your name (and mundane if you wish) a short paragraph bio of
yourself. You may also include your armory, but the printed proceedings will
not be in color.

As with all things now, I also will need a release for all items sent in. We
are using the standard SCA release form that can be found at <
http://www.sca.org/officers/chronicler/PubPermissionForm.pdf>. This is also
needed for any and all artwork, so if you are not the artist and you are not
100% sure that it is public domain, please get permission to use. You may
either scan and email the release with your article or mail it to KHWSS 2010
Proceedings c/o Kelsy Warren 11954 NE Glisan St PMB 536 Portland, OR 97220.
I can not include anything that doesn't have a release, so please be
thorough. This is SCA practice.

I will try to send a conformation email out with each item I receive. If you
do not hear from me with in 72 hours (give me more time on the weekends),
email me again as it may have been lost somewhere.
