Greetings all,

 

I am sadly certain that there are very few of you reading this post
whose lives have not been in some way touched by Cancer. The loss of too
many dear to me and so many great SCAdians - including the passing of
Her Excellency Kelta Bri leith this summer - has moved me to action. But
this is not a foe I can slay alone and so I ask for your help. 

 

As many of you may be already aware from my announcement at Sport of
Kings, this fall I have put my hair up on the barber's block to raise
money for the Alberta Cancer Foundation and to support Locks of Love in
helping those fighting Cancer.  I am delighted to announce that I have
now been joined in my campaign by two brave Avacalians - Volchuk
Vikingsson and Timothy of Sherwood. Tim has generously offered to cut
his hair in my stead  (should it be needed) so that Locks of Love will
still benefit and Volchuk will sheer his raven locks regardless.   To
date we have raised over $2500 dollars to help find a cure but know that
we can do so much more. As an added incentive, Volchuk's employer has
generously offered to match the funds we raise!  

 

So how can you help? Donate today! As a donor you have two choices -
donate to the "Shear the Peer" choice and have me cut my long locks for
Locks for Love -  OR -  donate to the "Leave the Locks" side of
fundraising and have me keep my golden tresses. Either way we raise
funds to fight Cancer AND support Locks of Love. 

 

We will be raising fund till November Coronet - November 28th - after
which the hair will fall!
