Hi - its Bronwen again (Sable Sable)
greetings to the Scribes and the Heralds of AnTir

sadly - there were no entries for the scribal handmade "badge" contest at
12th Night.

I know - its most likely because I didn't remind people about it happening
(I should have behaved more diligently :-o)

There were come beautiful scrolls entered in the scroll contest and if you
missed the Heraldic Achievement Scroll created by Wynn - too bad for you :-(

it was quite fine!!

Heraldry in it's most beautiful state :-)

Hopefully, Tegan, our Contest organizer (thanks Tegan) will have a photo of
it that we can put up on the scribes website - so everyone can see it.

Anyway - I thought that I would try again with the handmade Scribal Badge
thing...

I will be attending Kingdom A&S in Wastekeep, March 7th and 8th, 2009
I would like very much to hold a Contest for a hand drawn and illuminated
version of the AnTir College of Scribes Badge
(which can be seen in it's electronic form on the AnTir College of Scribes
homepage)

Here is the blazon
*Checky Or and argent, a triskelion of arms proper, garbed sable, each hand
grasping a quill pen gules.*

I adore the electronic version - it is very fine!
but
we are scribes, and that means that we draw and paint and lay gold leaf by
hand
and our website should show those types of images on it.

Baronessa Chiara - our Scribal Webmistress says that she can put a different
image of the badge on each page that needs an image - so, all the
entries may be able to be seen (and have your name on it) - if only you will
just enter the contest :-)

You will need to fill out a Scribal Art Release form when you enter the
contest - (which is currently available on-line in the Royal Scribe's
Guidebook.pdf - which you can find on the Royal Scribes webpage - [go to the
scribal contacts page first - to get there]
oh...
never mind...
you can find it here
http://www.scribes.antir.sca.org/Guides/RoyalScribeGuidebook.pdf

you can send your entries to me
(before Kingdom A&S)
and I will take them to the event for the judging and display

or
you can bring it with you to Kingdom A&S and enter it in the contest

please give it a try - its good practice for those wanting to start doing
Heraldic Achievement Scrolls

YIS
Bronwen
