[Antir_scribes] Scribal Open House June 13th/July Coronation Charter Painting contest/Scriptorium Tourney Season Hiatus

Scribal Open House Sunday, July 13th from 10 am to 10 pm.

 

I will be opening my home for those who want to come learn basic techniques
and "tricks" for painting charters with gouache.

Experienced painters are welcome as well.  If you are coming and have a
method for something that you do particularly well let me know, (guest
instructors welcome:-). Instruction will most likely occur in the first half
of the day.

 

Charters for the upcoming Reign will be available. Completed charters may be
entered in the Coronation Charter Painting contest(see below:-} Take the
opportunity to peruse the library, get ideas:-} Scribal-related DVD's
(gilding, calligraphy, manuscript documentaries) can be played or something
from the movie shelf depending upon attendees.

 

I have work space for about 10 scribes at a time to work comfortably, please
RSVP for directions and please try to carpool (the neighbors might be doing
gatherings that weekend as well:-}  Noshies provided including scribal
chocolate:-}

 

Note: the Wyewood Scriptorium will be going into Tourney Season Hiatus (no
scriptoriums in July or August), however if you are looking for charters to
paint I will have a supply for locals.

KINGDOM CHARTER PAINTING CONTEST

Located on the eric SAT 10 am until the end of Court that day and Sunday
through the Champions Tourney.

 

Paints, palettes, brushes and beginning instruction (come by earlier in the
day for this) will be available for those who need them. Please bring a
chair and wear close-fitting (not flowing:-} sleeves.

 

Prizes will be presented at Court on Sunday (if you can't make it please
make sure we have your branch and modern contact information).
