Sorry, I forgot to say that the Blazon for the badge is
Checky Or and argent, a triskelion of arms proper, garbed sable, each hand 
grasping a quill pen gules.
or
it can be found on the OandA (if you lose this)

and there is a coumputer generated graphic on the AnTir Scribes home page.

For Scribes who do not normally do heraldic art,
I encourage you to depart from the graphic if they like
arms and quill pens can be drawn the way you envision
just do not stray from the "required" coloring
and
if you do not understand the words of the blazon, and want to
ask a herald :-)
