I am HL Sarra de glen and I am sorry for the late reply... mundane life
has been keeping me a bit frazzled.


Do you live in a Barony?
 Yes.  Aquaterra

Does your Barony have a Baronial Scribe?
 Yes.  And a great deputy (HL Elizabeth de Summerlege)

Are you a Baronial Scribe?
Yes.

Does your Barony give awards?
Yes.

Are these awards documented with an original scroll or a charter?
Charters however some are personalized if we know who we are painting
them for. Plus original scrolls for specific events. 

Does your Barony have a Baronial Seal Matrix and make seals from it for
documentation?
Coming soon.

What do you think a Baronial Scribe does/should do (or what do you do in
your capacity as Baronial Scribe)?
To organize the office, including keeping track of the supplies and
working with others, to design and paint scrolls/charters to insures
that scrolls/charters are ready when they are needed.  Also being
available to answer questions and organize painting parties to educate
and encourage new painters.


and here's the big one...

Do you think that every Barony should have a Baronial Scribe?
Yes,  I think charters/scrolls add a lot, even if that just means doing
the bare minimum of getting some basic charters designed (with the help
of other Barony's scribes if needed).  The initial set up is half the
battle, once the charters are done the scribe (and preferably a deputy)
would only need to: print copies, manage supplies (paint, paper, etc),
and maybe hold a monthly painting party to get them painted. 

Note: I keep most unfinished scroll until the next meeting so the
original painters can finish them but some painters like to take
charters (and paint trays) home with them to finish them at their
leisure. Also I have found that it is much easier to get people to come
paint at our monthly social meeting (held on a Tuesday evening) than to
get them to come out on a weekend.  

Plus we are blessed to have several talented people that have given us
great designs including our talented Baroness Rosamund!  

I am a believer that if you start the scribe's office the
artist/volunteers will come :-)
