Do you live in a Barony?* Yes (Madrone)Does your Barony have a Baronial Scribe?* YesAre you a Baronial Scribe?* YesDoes your Barony give awards?* YesAre these awards documented with an original scroll or a charter?* Yes- mainly charters, with originals for one award. Canton and college also have awards for which original scrolls are designated, but they are expected to take care of those internally. Does your Barony have a Baronial Seal Matrix and make seals from it fordocumentation?*
Yes, we have a seal matrix, and yes I make seals from it. I'm not sure what you mean by "for documentation". What do you think a Baronial Scribe does/should do (or what do you do in yourcapacity as Baronial Scribe)?* I take charters and paints to open gatherings twice per month so that people can paint them. * I pester the baronage prior to major baronial events to get an estimate of number of awards to be given at that event, and make sure that I have enough completed charters for all of the recipients. Some of the awards have personalization details as well, such as an indication of the specialty for champions. I fill those in and paint them to match the style and color scheme of the charter. * Before or at the event, I fill in names, date, and any other text, attach seals, and have the baronage sign each document. If your Barony does not have a Baronial Scribe - but - your Barony does givedocumented awards (scrolls)
 - who makes the documentation?* N/Aand here's the big one...Do you think that every Barony should have a Baronial Scribe?* I think that each barony could make that decision best for their particular needs. If they want to give out award documents, it seems that a scribe would be a good thing to have. If not, it wouldn't seem necessary. I hope that this discussion can be amicable :-)* me too- I'm surprised at the idea that it might not be. I'm very interested in everyone's answers.* Me too- and I have a question to add: Is there a network or database or list or any other handy organizational tool, by which a person who wants an original document made may find an interested scribe and/or illuminator?
