SAGE Level IV System Administrator with 22+ years experience in Unix System Administration.
I have been actively involved with many Unix-based (or related) operating systems over the past 22 years. This list is only the most recent.
| Apple, OS X 10.2 - 10.5 | BSD, FreeBSD 4.x, 5.x, 6.x |
| Linux, Red Hat 7.3, RHEL 3 & 4 | Sun, SunOS 4.x, 5.x (Solaris 1, 2.2-2.7, 8, 9) |
| AIX, 4.3.3 |
This list is only the most general and most recently used. Other protocols might take a few days to come up to speed.
| Automounters / am-utils | AFS | DHCP (isc-dhcp3) | DNS (BIND, named) | HTTP/HTTPS |
| NFS | NIS/YP | NTP | SMTP / sendmail / mailman | |
| Trouble Tracking / WebRT | LDAP (user side) | Kerberos (user side) |
I have used a lot of technologies in the past 22+ years. I don't list them all here because some of them are no longer relevant and many of them are older versions that would take me a short while to come back up to speed.
Compute Clusters: I've been building compute clusters (desktop and dedicated nodes) since 1985.
High Performance Computing (HPC): I've used several different batch systems. I am currently most familiar with Condor.
Chat services: I've established IRC, dragonmud, and other chat systems to keep disparate system administrators and others in regular communication.
LDAP/Kerberos: I've set up many systems to use Kerberos and LDAP and had training in them but I've never set up a server.
Ethics: Wrote a previous version of and strongly adhere to the current System Administrators' code of Ethics.
