Basic OverSeer. Commands used by sysadmins to manage fileservers and database servers.

Used to create, modify, start, and stop AFS subsystems.

side note: bos server was originally called the BOZO server, and was based on a program called nanny from the cmu scs department [well it wasn't the scs department then] which can be told "start these procs and if they die, restart them."
