Order of the Red Branch

Herald: In A.S. 7, Baron Liam of the Barque determined to honor citizens who had rendered great service to the Barony of Madrone. Therefore, he created the Order of the Red Branch. Upholding this tradition, the Barons of Madrone have continued to recognize extraordinary dedication, service, and chivalry.

Herald: I now call forward _____________________ to read the names of those who have been so recognized. All members of the Red Branch here present shall stand and come forward when their name is called.

[Speaker comes forward with roll.]

Speaker: Hear now the roll of members of the Order of the Red Branch.

Speaker: [read roll.]

Baron: I am minded to recognize a new member of this order. Let [him/her] be called forward.

Herald: ______________________, come forth and kneel before Their Excellencies.

[Candidate comes forward and kneels.]

    Let all people of the known world be advised that ___________________ has through labor, dedication, and skill greatly enhanced the quality of life in the Barony of Madrone. In appreciation and acknowledgment of these contributions, [he/she] is hereby admitted to the Order of the Red Branch, founded by Baron Liam of the Barque in the year anno societatis VII, in commemoration of the ancient and remote origins of chivalry.

Herald: Accept now this scroll and this token of your rank: the badge of the Baron of Madrone, which is 'A Madrone tree eradicated proper'.
